Commonwealth Senior Living Begins Renovation of Manassas, Virginia Community

Renovation Plans Include the Addition of a Memory Care Neighborhood

Charlottesville, VA – January 23, 2024 – Commonwealth Senior Living announces that it has officially begun the complete renovation of Commonwealth Senior Living at Manassas  The project includes the creation of a secure memory care neighborhood which will feature CSL’s award winning Sweet Memories memory care programming, a new dining room, a new fitness/therapy space, and a new living/activity room dedicated to the memory of Caton Merchant, original founder of the community. In addition, all the apartments and public areas will be renovated, and the building exterior will be completely updated.

The renovation of Commonwealth Senior Living at Manassas demonstrates our commitment to delivering on that promise by creating a world-class senior living community that will improve the quality of life for residents, their family members, and our team for many more years.”

The general contractor for the renovation at Commonwealth Senior Living at Manassas is Portsmouth, Virginia-based DB3, Inc. The official kick off of the project took place on January 8, 2024, and construction on the new Sweet Memories™ Alzheimer’s and dementia neighborhood is scheduled to be completed in late summer of 2024.

In addition to planning renovations, and a possible expansion to the community, Commonwealth has been introducing its Signature Programs including Farm to Table dining, Our Promise to Veterans program which honors those men and women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, and Commonwealth’s Travel the World program, among others.
