(Alexandria, Va.)—Argentum’s annual largest providers list provides the fundamental data and ideas that leaders in senior living and associated industries use in decision-making and strategy.
At 140 providers and 624,795 units, the 2019 largest providers list is the most extensive report in the 20 years Argentum has been publishing the data. Among just the top 125—the size of the 2018 list—the 2019 list shows growth of 5.4 percent in number of units.
“We’re seeing changes in position and newcomers to the list this year,” said Argentum president and CEO James Balda. “The growth of the list reflects the growth in this industry. It’s good to see so many active Argentum members represented.”
The centerpiece of Argentum’s Senior Living Executive magazine’s Finance & Investment issue, the list and accompanying articles look at the names and numbers in independent living, assisted living, and memory care. New this year is a list from LeadingAge/Ziegler of the 25 largest not-for-profits.
The largest providers list is built exclusively from voluntary and company-provided data via survey. Rankings are determined based on total company units. In addition, leading executives from many of these big players in the industry offer business-environment projections and candid assessments of challenges ahead.
