LCS and Benchmark Senior Living Take Home Cobb Cup Awards for Support of Argentum’s Silver PAC

[current_event_date]

(Alexandria, Va.) – Senior living advocacy leader Argentum said LCS and Benchmark Senior Living won the organization’s Cobb Cup awards for 2022, with the two companies laying claim to the honors by raising the most money for the Argentum Silver PAC and attracting the most donors, respectively, for this year’s Race for the Cup.

In a ceremony at the recent Argentum Senior Living Leadership Summit in Las Vegas, Joel Nelson, chair of the Argentum Board and president and CEO of LCS, along with James Balda, president and CEO of Argentum, lauded the effort of all the senior living leaders that took part in the annual competition, with special recognition to the winners.

“Many of you in this room have been loyal supporters that we see every year, but there are also many new contributors here tonight, which speaks to the unprecedented efforts the senior living industry undertook in the face of constant challenges and ever-evolving federal landscape,” Nelson told the Summit audience.

“I want to thank all of you for your continued support. The Silver PAC guarantees Argentum has a voice on Capitol Hill by supporting lawmakers who are senior living champions.”

The Granger Cobb Cup for Excellence in Political Action, or the Cobb Cup, was inaugurated in 2015 and named after the late Granger Cobb for his longtime dedication to advocating on behalf of the senior living industry and the residents served.

It is awarded annually to Silver PAC’s highest contributing company and the company with the highest number of individual contributors.

“It is with great pleasure we congratulate the entire LCS and Benchmark teams on winning the 2022 Cobb Cups. This level of funding for the Advocacy Fund enables the industry to employ a comprehensive advocacy strategy with a strong presence on both the federal and state levels. We thank you for organizing such a successful company campaign,” Balda said. “Supporting our champions is more important than ever so I again thank you for your continued support as Argentum fights for seniors and their caregivers on Capitol Hill.”

In addition to the award winners, Argentum also expressed its appreciation to all participating companies, which has allowed Argentum to continue building meaningful relationships on Capitol Hill and support lawmakers that share the values of senior living communities.
