With a rich background in health care spanning over two decades, April brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her role, dedicated to providing exceptional care for residents with memory-related conditions. 
April’s journey in health care began over 20 years ago in Rochester, NY. She has ventured down various medical paths throughout her nursing career, gaining extensive experience in community health, psychiatric nursing, home care, long-term care, staff education, and dementia care. Her vast and diverse background makes her a valuable addition to the Charter Senior Living team.
Memory Care holds a special place in April’s heart, driven by personal experiences caring for her own family members. Her empathetic approach and firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by those living with dementia make her a standout choice for the position of Memory Care Director. “I cared for my mother and uncle, who were both diagnosed with Alzheimer’s years ago,” April shares. “I understand firsthand what families go through and how to help residents with dementia.”
In her new role, April is committed to ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of health care and daily support. She will provide supervision, guidance, and educational resources to the dedicated staff at Charter Senior Living of Charlotte. Maintaining a professional, welcoming atmosphere while adhering to all guidelines, policies, and procedures is at the core of her approach. April’s mission is to create a high-quality, dependable, and caring environment of support for all residents.
