Awards for Senior Living Professionals

Hero Awards

The Argentum Hero Awards recognize individuals who are ideal representatives of the hundreds of thousands of people serving in the senior living field. Nominated by regional/company executives and executive directors of senior living communities, these individuals represent the highest levels of excellence, caring, and dedication in senior living. Recipients are recognized annually at the Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference and in an upcoming issue of Senior Living Executive magazine. Nominations are open to Argentum Member Owner/Operator companies (self-nominations are not permitted).

Please note: We are no longer accepting nominations for the Hero Award: Leadership in the Face of a Natural Disaster category. You are welcome to nominate heroes for their service during a natural disaster using the Hero Award nomination form.

Prepare your nomination:

  • A hero changes lives. Tell us about one specific time that your nominee changed the life of a resident and/or a resident’s family.
  • A good work environment matters so much in senior living. Tell us about a time this nominee helped improved the community or inspire others.
  • What is the personal story behind the nominee’s excellence?
  • Optional: You may gather up to three (3) testimonials of up to 200 words from residents, families, or staff that speaks to the nominee’s impact.

Senior Living Community Leadership Award

The Argentum Senior Living Community Leadership Award recognizes executive directors for exemplary leadership in senior living community management. The executive director is responsible for providing overall leadership in the day-to-day operation of a senior living community and charged with maintaining staff, resident, and family engagement in addition to budget adherence and regulatory compliance. A recipient is recognized annually at the Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference and in an upcoming issue of Senior Living Executive magazine. Nominations are open to Argentum Member Owner/Operator companies (self-nominations are not permitted).

Prepare your nomination:

  • Tell us about one specific time you saw your executive director change the life of a
    resident and/or a resident’s family.
  • A leader makes a difference in the lives of employees, too. Can you think of something
    this nominee has done that surprised you or impressed you?
  • Business operations make a difference in the lives of everyone in the community. Please share specific metrics or concrete results that show how the nominee has helped the community run more efficiently and improve quality.
  • What is the personal story behind the nominee’s excellence?
  • Please list any professional or personal achievements or awards the nominee has earned.
  • Optional: You may gather up to three (3) testimonials of up to 200 words from residents, families, or staff that speaks to the nominee’s impact.

Best of the Best Awards

The Argentum Best of the Best Awards recognize innovative new programs and services that are working to improve the future of senior living. Awards and recognition will focus on innovative programs, products, and services that solve a particular challenge or advance excellence in senior living. Winners are recognized annually at the Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference and in an issue of Senior Living Executive magazine. Nominations are open to all Argentum Member companies.

Prepare your nomination:

  • Tell us about your program, product, or service.
  • How does the program, product, or service solve a particular challenge or advance excellence in senior living?
  • Please present any metrics or evidence-based data on the effectiveness of your nomination. How are you measuring the impact of this initiative on your organization, consumers, or staff? You may also include qualitative results such as recognition, support or inquiries from within and outside your community and company, and one or two short testimonials from a participant.
  • What are some lessons learned that can apply to future senior living challenges?
