Tell the National Alzheimer’s Task Force the importance of assisted living in the lives of those with Alzheimer’s disease and emphasize that assisted living must be a part of the national plan to fight Alzheimer’s.
Although assisted living was mentioned in the draft National Plan, ALFA needs your support to make sure it is included in the final version. Given that more than one-third of current assisted living residents have Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, assisted living communities should be involved in any plan to help those with Alzheimer’s disease.
HHS is seeking input on the Draft National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease through March 30, 2012. Urge the Advisory Council on Alzheimer’s Research, Care, and Services to include assisted living in the national plan by sending your comments to [email protected].
