Doris-Ellie Sullivan

Since her 8 years of service as a United States Army nurse, Doris-Ellie Sullivan has dedicated over 25 years to building her knowledge and experience in the senior living industry in both the skilled nursing facility realm and then into the senior living industry realm. Most recently, she has provided leadership, guidance, and drive as President of Retirement Unlimited, Inc. (RUI) based out of Roanoke, Virginia. Under her eight-year leadership, RUI has grown from 6 to 59 senior living communities, adding communities that they own as well as many they manage throughout the east coast. She was charged with overseeing and coordinating the renovation of the original six communities and designing and successfully opening an additional four, some of which during the covid pandemic. Sullivan has since then worked through many acquisitions and brand developments with several projects in the near future. Named a 2023 Changemaker by Senior Housing News and featured on the Argentum’s Women in Leadership series and several other leadership panels, Sullivan has made her mark on the industry as driver of innovation. Sullivan has transitioned RUI’s over 40-year legacy from quiescent to an industrious and progressive organization, with proven records in occupancy and profit during all climates.
