Assisted living and continuing care retirement communities have been designated by OSHA as high-hazard workplaces based on increased potential for exposure to COVID-19. This was published in a March 12, 2021 OSHA directive announcing a new enforcement program calling for targeted inspections, outreach to employers, and compliance assistance.
