Heritage of Ft. Wayne’s Winter Drive-In Adventure

[current_event_date]

It had all the perks and none of the challenges of a traditional drive-in movie.

Heritage Pointe of Ft. Wayne senior living community hosted its cinematic adventure complete with a screen, concession stand, and ‘automobiles’ for the residents to watch Dennis the Menace.  The only thing missing was the frigid winter weather, and no one complained about that!

Enjoying popcorn and Coke, the residents from Wurley Memory Care at Heritage Pointe of Ft. Wayne sat “in” their drive-in car props and enjoyed watching the irresistible charms of their favorite comic icon.

Amber Hadley, memory care coordinator said the residents enjoyed the experience and reminisced about the Dennis the Menace comic strip from the 1950s. “It was a fun trip down Memory Lane,” she said!
