(CEDAR RAPIDS, IA) – Jaybird Senior Living, a senior living operator managing approximately 40 communities across the Midwest, announced their annual Jaybird Achievement Award winners Friday, March 1st in recognition of the commencement of Women’s History Month.
All five award winners are female employees from Jaybird Senior Living and their managed communities, nominated by peers for exemplifying the company’s core values of innovation, integrity, compassion, commitment, and expertise.
The recognized individuals were as follows: Kaitlynn Freese (Salesperson of the Year form Arlington Place at Grundy Center and Parker Place Retirement Community), Kristin Elkjer (Jaybird Team Member of the Year, Senior Regional Director of Operations), Krystal Maulson (Director of the Year from Milestone Senior Living of Woodruff), Rachel Babcock (Team Member of the Year, Assistant Healthcare Coordinator from Willows Landing), and Shawn Pierce (Nurse of the Year from Arlington Place at Grundy Center).

Community and corporate employees of all levels were encouraged to nominate individuals for each category. The aforementioned winners received the most nominations with compelling reasons for why their efforts should be recognized and celebrated. Each winner received a $1,000 bonus check and jeweled crystal award to document their achievements.
In addition to the award nomination, Freese, Maulson, and Babcock were also hand-selected for the coveted Jaybird Senior Living Flight School, a career development program that empowers
rising team members to reach new heights within the company and in their career through skills training and mentorship with the Jaybird Senior Living executive team.
