May 28, 2024 (Pittsburgh, PA & Bloomfield, NJ) – Juniper Communities, a leading provider of senior living communities, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sherri Dillard, LPN, as the Director of Wellness (DOW) at Juniper Village at South Hills. Prior to Juniper, she worked as an agency nurse, until finding her home in senior living.
Dillard embodies a lifelong commitment to healthcare, starting her career at age seventeen. Having worked primarily in skilled and geriatric nursing facilities, she believes she can do more good for the community by using her clinical experience to help the associates and residents within Juniper Village at South Hills.
Part of the reason Dillard relates to the field is because her mother was a CNA. Once she started on her own path, she realized how much she loved nursing and what she loves is getting to know the residents and being involved in their care, serving as a support system in all capacities of their life. Now, she could never have imagined a life not in healthcare or in a senior living community.
“Juniper Village at South Hills has shown me so much love and appreciation. Giving me so much support from the beginning, that is something I haven’t had in my career. It is a breath of fresh air to work with associates who all share the same goals,” expressed Dillard on her experience at Juniper.
And if work isn’t enough, Dillard is married with three children, ages 3, 5, and 11, and two dogs. An outdoor lover, Dillard enjoys spending her time with her family by the pool in the summer and keeping busy with inside activities during the winter. Dillard is proud to be an alumnus of Western Area Career & Technology Center, graduating in 2015 with her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
