[current_event_date]

DALLAS, TX – December 4, 2023 – Lifespace Communities announced the promotion of Elijah Heyboer to executive director at GreenFields of Geneva, a Lifespace senior living community in the Chicagoland area, on Nov. 20. Heyboer originally joined Lifespace as administrator of the GreenFields’ health center in March before becoming interim executive director in September.

“This promotion is well-deserved,” said Lifespace Vice President, Regional Operations Andy Kazmierczak. “Elijah is an effective and thoughtful leader. During his time at GreenFields, he has connected with residents and team members and has shown a commitment to their quality of life and continues to create opportunities where everyone is able to fulfill their aspirations and thrive.”

Prior to joining Lifespace, Heyboer served as HR director at Park Place of Elmhurst, a Providence Life Services senior living community, before becoming healthcare administrator, where he oversaw subacute rehab, long-term care, assisted living, and memory care. He earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources management with minors in finance and Spanish from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois. He is also a licensed nursing home administrator.

“I enjoy building relationships with the residents and team members at GreenFields and learning how they each contribute to this close-knit community. These relationships give me insight into what is important to them and help guide my decisions,” said Heyboer. “In senior living, you can quickly see the impact your work has. My goal is to continue to do work that has a positive impact on the residents and team members across all levels of living at GreenFields.”
