Maria Mercer Joins Lifespace Communities As Vice President, Human Resources

DALLAS, TX – May 20, 2024 – Lifespace Communities announced that Maria Mercer joined the senior living organization as vice president, human  resources effective May 13. In this newly restructured role, Mercer will provide comprehensive human resources leadership to support Lifespace in its continued advancement to be the leader in attracting and retaining top talent, fostering an outstanding work environment, and achieving robust business results.

“Maria is a welcome addition to Lifespace,” said Nikki Kresse, chief people and communications officer. “She brings to this role a wealth of HR knowledge and experience and will act as a collaborative partner to our communities. She also shares Lifespace’s commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and empowered to share their insights and expertise.”

Mercer has a successful track record of creating and implementing HR strategies that align with businesses objectives, while developing and maintaining an inclusive and engaging company culture. She has previously worked for Hewlett Packard and Electronic Data Systems. Most recently, she served as Vice President, Global Human Resources and Mergers and Acquisitions at global tax firm Ryan.
