BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Mariany Colombo has joined The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights, a 275-unit luxury senior community at 21 Clark Street, as business office director.

The $330 million Watermark at Brooklyn Heights, opened in October 2020, is one of five properties managed by Watermark Retirement Communities in their Élan Collection. This lifestyle brand of premier properties offers personal service with grand scale amenities.

“We are delighted to welcome Mariany Colombo, an experienced senior housing industry business manager, to The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights team,” shared executive director Rocco Bertini.

“My primary goal is to provide the excellent accounting and customer service expected by our members,” said Colombo. “I plan to work with my team to enable our residents to thrive through access to a wealth of wellness, cultural, educational, and social opportunities, both within the Watermark community and throughout New York City.”

In her new role, Colombo manages the billing and collections systems and is responsible for preparing monthly statements and reviewing operating finances. In addition, she assists in prospect conversion and member retention through training and supervision of the concierge team to provide optimal guest experiences. “As the first point of contact, the concierge personnel is crucial in providing a positive, service-minded initial impression of the property,” she noted.

Prior to joining Watermark at Brooklyn Heights, Colombo was the business office manager and human resources director for The Fountains at Rivervue, a Watermark community in Tuckahoe, N.Y. Prior to that, she was a business director at Atria Senior Living. Colombo holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Lehman College.
