Ensure your residents take advantage of the annual Medicare Open Enrollment for 2011 prescription drug and health plans that begins Nov. 15 and runs through Dec. 31.
During this period, Medicare beneficiaries can review as well as compare current health and prescription drug coverage and choose coverage that best meets their needs. In a given enrollment period, only 7 percent of beneficiaries switch plans. Encourage your residents to research their options.
