New Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale Community Names Rene Buck Executive Director

HOUSTON—Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale, a new luxury senior-living community scheduled to open first quarter 2020, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rene Buck as executive director. With more than 20 years of experience in senior living and hospitality working in both Europe and the United States, Buck will oversee all aspects of property operations and resident care for the upscale high-rise community, which will encompass 204 private apartments inclusive of independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

Belmont Village Fort Lauderdale represents the first project in Florida for Belmont Village Senior Living, a nationally recognized developer, owner and operator of high-quality seniors housing communities and a leading provider of premier independent living, assisted living and award-winning memory care. Founded in 1997, the company currently operates 30 communities in major urban markets around the country and in Mexico City.

Buck has served as a member of the board of directors for the Florida Assisted Living Association since 2009. Prior to joining Belmont Village, Buck served as the executive director of Grand Villa Delray West and as regional supervisor for Allegro Management Company, where he oversaw operations of five communities and 689 total apartments. During his 11-year tenure with Allegro, he also served as community director and dining services director. Before moving to the United States, Buck managed two restaurants and served as an external consultant for several culinary enterprises in Switzerland. He holds an accomplished degree in hotel and restaurant management from the Swiss Hotel & Restaurant Management School of Lucerne, Switzerland.
