[current_event_date]

WALTHAM, Mass.—Benchmark, a human connection company and leading provider of senior living services in the Northeast, today announced that New Pond Village, a Benchmark continuing care retirement community in Walpole, Mass., has been honored for their outstanding service with a Caring Stars of 2020 award as voted by residents, their family members and others in the greater Walpole area. The community is the only one in Norfolk County to earn this recognition and is amongst just five in all of Massachusetts and 149 in the nation.

“To have our team recognized for the service we provide to our residents and to have them choose us for this award is one of the highest honors we can ever hope to achieve,” says Adam Manchester, campus executive director of New Pond Village. “Every day our associates are called to care for our residents. The team works hard to provide personalized living experiences and compassionate care that maximizes our resident’s health, wellness and quality of life. We are extremely excited to have our commitment to elevating human connection recognized by those who matter to us most. Thank you all for your recognition and praise!”

New Pond Village earned the Caring Stars of 2020 award having received an average 5-star rating, the highest possible score, within a specific time frame, a high volume of positive reviews as determined by a reviews-integrity audit and having met other quality-assurance measures and criteria set by Caring.com. The Caring Stars annual list has become the go-to guide of the best senior living communities nationwide, becoming particularly helpful after families gather for the holidays and discover increased or urgent care needs for their senior loved ones.

New Pond Village was hailed for their friendly staff, high-quality care and flexibility in helping its resident’s age in place while maximizing their independence. Concierge living amenities, such as their excellent, restaurant-quality food and robust lifelong learning program were also recognized.

Located in Walpole, Mass., less than seven miles from Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, New Pond Village is set on 19.4 acres located on scenic Willett Pond. On one campus, the community offers independent living, assisted living, memory care and rehabilitation for seniors who want the peace-of-mind of knowing the care they need is at their fingertips no matter what the future may bring. The communities Life Care Advantage program provides a predictable monthly rate for life without having to worry about rising healthcare costs.

Last year, New Pond Village underwent an $8 million renovation, creating a luxurious new dining room, spacious common areas, modern, one and two-bedroom apartments and opened a Mind & Memory neighborhood, the first in Walpole, for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia. It was also named a Best Retirement Living Residence through the Wicked Local Reader’s Choice Awards.
