PALA Announces Assisted Living “Advocate of the Year” Award

ALFA affiliate, Pennsylvania Assisted Living Association (PALA) honored Governor George M. Leader with the 2012 Advocate of the Year Award.

PALA honored Governor Leader with the award in recognition of his commitment to serving seniors. Governor Leader founded Country Meadows Retirement Communities and Providence Place Retirement Communities to provide quality care for seniors in a residential environment.

“Governor Leader, over the past 30 years, has been one of the most influential advocates in Pennsylvania when it comes to personal care and assisted living,” said PALA Executive Director Jeremy J. Adlon, “The work he and his family have done with Country Meadows and Providence Place show his dedication, commitment, and continued enthusiasm for personal care and assisted living in Pennsylvania. Governor Leader and his family should be extremely proud of their services to seniors, and are without a doubt, a true example of what Personal Care and Assisted Living strive to be in the Commonwealth.”

The award was presented at the association’s fall conference on October 11th.
