Seniors are among those at the highest risk of contracting fatal infections from peanut products contaminated with salmonella, and recently more products were put on the recall list.

The latest peanut products being pulled from shelves are Jam-n-Peanuts Bars. They are most likely to be in circulation in the Portland, Oregon, area, where they are distributed to local retailers. However, they are also sold online. The recall only affects bars with “Best By” dates of March 18, 2009, and July 23, 2009. Details are available by phone at 503.274.1607.
