Peninsula Del Rey Earns CARF-Reaccreditation

[current_event_date]

DALY CITY, Calif.—(OCT 17, 2023)—Peninsula Del Rey, a senior living community owned and operated by Senior Resource Group (SRG), has been re-accredited for a three-year period through 2026—by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Similar to the five-star rating of the hospitality industry, this certification is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to a retirement community. Peninsula Del Rey received “no recommendations,” a feat accomplished by only 3 percent of senior living communities in the country.

“We are immensely grateful for CARF’s acknowledgment of the exceptional quality of care delivered at Peninsula Del Rey,” said Executive Director Katherine Tazawa. “This prestigious achievement is a testament to our unwavering dedication to enriching the lives of our residents as we continually strive to foster an environment that embodies the essence of positive aging.”

To receive the three-year reaccreditation outcome, Peninsula Del Rey completed a voluntary peer review process and demonstrated to a team of surveyors that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurability and accountability.  The survey team’s report highlighted the many strengths of the community, including its core concept of “aspiring to excellence” in life enrichment activities and wellness programs which appeal to residents’ mind, body and soul; high-functioning leadership and direct care teams, and culture of “Genuine Hospitality,” which is at the heart of SRG’s philosophy.
