PHOENIX (January 27, 2025) — Newsweek, a trusted global news source, released their top 300 continuum care retirement communities (CCRC) for 2025. Arizona’s own Sagewood, a Life Plan Community featuring a resort-style setting in north Phoenix, ranked 45th in the nation.
For the second consecutive year, Newsweek and research firm, Statista, ranked America’s Best CCRCs based on a nationwide survey of residents, medical professionals, and loved ones of residents as well as visitor satisfaction data, Google reviews and accreditation status.
CCRCs offer long-term care options, allowing residents to access higher-level care when medical needs progress. Sagewood offers independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care to meet the needs of prospective and current residents.

The Newsweek survey and ranking serves the purpose of compiling a list of best CCRCs in the nation to support families and individuals in finding the best retirement option. The number of CCRCs in the US has doubled in the past decade, making the selection of retirement community more difficult than ever.
However, rankings like these help decipher which communities not only have the proper accreditation but receive positive feedback from residents, families and employees. Sagewood ranked top out of only five communities in Arizona listed.
