ROANOKE, Va.—Chris Cook has been promoted to executive director of Bay Lake Community in Virginia Beach, Va., a community of Retirement Unlimited, Inc. (RUI), a Virginia family-owned and -operated senior living community management company with nearly 40 years of experience serving.
Since joining RUI in 2019, Cook has been the business office and human resources manager for the Hidenwood Community, a 112-apartment community in Newport News, Va., and for The Towers Community, a 181-apartment community in Richmond, Va.
Cook attained his bachelor of science degree in health care administration and management from Stratford University. With 15 years of health care and senior living experience, he brings a wide spectrum of knowledge and understanding of organizational and operational functions in conjunction with leadership and relationship expectations needed to successfully manage an independent living, assisted living, and memory care community.
