As organizations increasingly adopt AI into their day-to-day practices, it’s important to understand how these tools can be used — especially in senior living.
At this year’s Senior Living Executive Conference, to be held May 19-21 in Tampa, we will delve into potential uses for AI, getting beyond the surface level to explore best practices in when and how to use AI.
It’s important for senior living executives to do their research on the front end when deciding whether to adopt a new AI tool. It’s not a silver bullet to solve your problems, but it can make “the boring stuff” like standard processes and data analysis more efficient.
One AI session at this year’s conference is “Navigating AI in Senior Living: Strategies, Tools, and Real-World Solutions,” led by digital marketing thought leader Kent Lewis. Currently the Chief Evangelist at Gravitate Design, Kent is the founder of pdxMindShare, Portland’s premier professional networking group and online career community.
Kent will set the stage for attendees, outlining the current landscape of AI and its relevance to the senior living industry. His session will cover opportunities and challenges of AI, and seven generative AI (GAI) strategies: research and inspiration; content creation; website optimization; data analysis and reporting; content personalization; process automation; and customer service enhancement.
“While cost-cutting is an obvious benefit of AI in terms of streamlining process and workflow efficiencies, I’m far more inspired by the power of AI to create and deliver messages that truly resonate with target audiences based not just on relationship, but timing, device and context,” he said.
I’m looking forward to participating in this session, along with Jenni Bost, Vice President of Marketing at Radiant Senior Living. Jenni and I will share day-to-day, real-world challenges as part of this session, discussing how AI can be used in different scenarios.
Educational Program
Continuing the technology focus, the conference’s complete program includes multiple AI-based sessions:
- “Future-Proofing Senior Living: Leveraging AI for Operational Excellence and Enhanced Residence Care,” moderated by Fritz Brumder, CEO of WiseOx, and featuring Amy Crosslin, Director of People Operations at Sonida Senior Living, and Greg Roderick, CEO of Frontier Management.
- “AI and Employment Law: Using AI for HR Functions in a Legally Compliant Way,” by Jason Geller, JD, and Laurel Cornell, Esq., both serving as Partners at Fisher Phillips LLP.
- “AI-Driven Activity Management: Elevating Resident Engagement and Operational Efficiency,” by Brandon Tabbert, Vice President of Innovation and Optimization, New Perspective Senior Living, and Dylan Conley, Chief Technology Officer at LifeLoop.
There has been a lot of marketing around AI and its benefits, but we are getting into the meat of what it all means for the senior living industry. At the end of the day, it’s important to have your processes in place before adding AI, and we are focusing on effective uses of these tools.
The Future of Senior Living
This year’s educational program encompasses several key areas for senior living leaders: operations and occupancy; marketing, sales and development; dining; quality improvement; architecture and design; finance and administration; and public policy and government relations. The 2025 Senior Living Executive Conference is also a forum to connect with colleagues and experts, learn strategies for creating the best possible resident experience, improve staffing, and enhance operations.
The sessions listed above are just a few reasons the Senior Living Executive Conference is a great place for senior living professionals to explore potential uses for AI. Save your seat for the 2025 event by registering today.
