Social Impact Partners Unveils 2024 Impact Report: Pioneering the Future of Brain Health and Longevity

[current_event_date]

Social Impact Partners’ (SIP) has recently released 2024 Global Brain Health and Longevity Impact Report, an initiative in which  many Argentum members are actively engaged. This initiative is a place to take action, engage with younger leaders, innovate together, and infuse these practices within communities as they are important to every resident, staff, and family member.

“The true power of collaboration, innovation, and taking action together has already created enormous impact. This is just the beginning of a brain health revolution fueled by our collective passion and purpose,” commented Co-Founder and Chairman of Social Impact Partners, Sarah Hoit.

The Impact Report underscores the significant burden that conditions like Alzheimer’s and dementia place on our society, detailing their extensive socio-economic repercussions. By presenting data and insights, SIP emphasizes the urgency of addressing these persistent adversaries. However, the report goes beyond merely identifying problems; it offers actionable strategies for involvement and collaboration, emphasizing the crucial role of industry leaders, policymakers, and the community in this vital endeavor, making them feel valued and integral to the mission.

“It is estimated that at least 40% of dementia cases are attributable to 12 modifiable risk factors, including dietary habits, midlife hypertension and obesity, and physical inactivity. This provides a remarkable opportunity for early detection, preventative action and coordinated global intervention,” noted Dr. Gene Bowman, Clinical Trials Director, Professor at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University.

The Senior Living Initiatives detailed in the report showcase practical implementations that are already making a difference in communities. These initiatives focus on creating environments that support cognitive health, from dietary improvements to physical and mental activities designed to boost brain function and overall well-being. Creating Brain Health Centers of Excellence in senior living and the places we age were a key theme that emerged from the Brain Health Innovation Olympics and will move forward to make a significant impact.

The 2024 Impact Report from Social Impact Partners is a call to action for all of us in the senior living and long-term care industry. By engaging with the report’s findings and participating in the proposed initiatives, we can collectively advance the mission of improving brain health and extending the quality of life for our aging population.
