Dream Flights’ 2023 Tour concluded on Veterans Day. We honored 11 veterans with Dream Flights, bringing the final number this year to 772. That’s 6,477 Dream Flights since 2011!
We get a lot of thank you notes from Dream Flyers and their families, and I want to share a note that came in this week from the son of World War II veteran Edward Case, pictured here with pilot volunteer Merilyn Chaffee and below, with members of his family.
Dear Dream Flights,
I’m Jim Case, Edward Case’s son. You took Dad up for a flight in September at Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville, CA. 
I want to thank you so much for the wonderful flight you gave him!! What a special memory for Dad and for us! I can’t express adequately how much we appreciated your tender and exquisite care for Dad as you orchestrated getting him in and out of the airplane! It was beyond impressive!
As an aviation fanatic, I was so proud of you and your team and the Dream Flight organization. What a blessing you are to so many who deserve to be honored!

Dream Flights’ YouTube Channel is dedicated to preserving veterans’ stories about their service and their Dream Flight experience. Veterans like Larry Cosgrove, who during WWII hauled tanks up to the front, mainly for Gen. Patton, and James Fierina, who volunteered to serve as an aerial gunner even after being warned the lifespan of a gunner is 3.5 minutes of combat.
