ALFA members agree that when it comes to Elder Abuse there is a zero tolerance policy. Without proper attention, residents can be vulnerable to abuse and exploitation not only from staff but family members as well. It is critical that providers know how to identify abuse, train staff on what to do if they suspect abuse, and have policies and procedures in place to protect vulnerable seniors.
